As sure as the warmongering state lives to cultivate hate and fear lives to stimulate strife an economy based on the selling of weapons is bound to discount human life as it does what it must to wage war against peace. Goosing the finely tuned freshly fueled and greased perfectly infernal mass murder machine throwing open the throttle on crisis creation as a business model there's nothing sexier to peddlers of death than scoring war's sordid inordinate profits.
That said, as one of the very rare publications that seemed as if it might have been a good fit for my scribblings, my emails history shows my having received a "Submittable Notifications" from Consequence in March 2021. I remember submitting the max permitted, all A-1 war-themed poems. None were accepted.
As far as New Verse News goes, I'd never heard of it. A glance at the site sufficed to scare me off. Along the right-hand side was a series of woke-bona-fides-signaling PC/current-thing-supporting slogans ... pretty much the groupthink polar opposite of what I'm about.
