When most of the souls you grew up with are gone yet persistently whisper in the ears of your mind “It's time now it's time — high time you moved on” and all the actuarial stats suggest you've stayed up well past your time of dying and you've reached that age when the mere thought of trying to blow so many candles out makes you feel dizzy Father T has a habit of getting rabidly busy tediously dropping the usual prodding hints that despite what others may say or think the time is finally ripe for you to do the right thing and call it a life while his sister Nostalgia proves just as relentless in her efforts to strengthen her enfeebling presence as you feel yourself slip slip away a bit further each day while your failing health and fading grip on the slippery ever-tenuous present give every impression it won't be long before you join the ones you so dearly miss in the promised bliss of the great beyond.
Along with the campaign for "you'll own nothing and be happy" there came along the commercial advertising that "75 is a good age to say goodbye"...though that one didn't last long, for some unknown reason. If you've got money, they'll siphon it out of you slowly, but if not, bye-bye in a hurry, don't you worry, we have a jab for that... The process of aging does move us to the next dimension whether it's welcome or not...and the veil gets thinner, which is interesting to see, or experience.
As you might imagine, when I wrote the lines "the time is finally ripe / for you to do the right thing and call it a life", I realized it might have a Canuckian MAID echo to it. To the point in fact, that I pictured the ghouls in charge of the program, tweaking famous Canuck Neil Young's "A Man Needs a Maid" song title and running a campaign called "A Man Needs MAID".
A Dualistic democracy is binary- transhumanistic- the war against complexity- self-regulation. RICO -Happy as dead. This is why understanding DRO (Dark Reality Orientation) is valuable: it lets us see these as recurring traditions

Agreed on all counts.

Very well done.
Thanks ... your appreciation is always appreciated.
